The only exception to this is when you are using glitter vinyl it needs a super sticky transfer paper. I do want to mention transfer paper really quick. Some of the transfer paper brands are entirely too sticky. Since it transfers with heat the vinyl can melt into the canvas and adhere better. In my experience htv is way better on canvas than adhesive vinyl. You re going to need your heat press and or your iron warmed up.

My heat press has a 15x15 plate. The canvas i used was 24x18 so it fit perfectly on the plate and allowed the top plate to close down. So if you want a longer lasting canvas project i would use heat transfer vinyl on canvas. I am not going to go into creating a design for this project because the design that i chose was free from the internet.
